AVOCADO GROWERS
Our primary relationship is with our avocado grower suppliers. At Trevelyan’s we pack avocados all year round for around 200 growers. Our growers produce fruit from orchards across the Bay of Plenty production areas, from the Coromandel to the East Cape, including Hawkes Bay and Motiti Island. Orchard sizes vary from less than 1 ha to more than 10ha.
We work hard to pack and ship your fruit in optimal condition and pride ourselves on helping avocado growers achieve top orchard gate returns (OGR). We believe open and transparent communication is vital to success, and we encourage our growers and staff to voice their opinions wherever possible to help to improve our performance. By collaborating and working together, we ensure our orchard management, picking, packing and cool storage processes are as streamlined and efficient as possible.
We work alongside a range of growers from large corporates to small, privately-owned orchards and treat everyone equally.

AVOCO
AVOCO, New Zealand’s leading avocado exporter (a partnership between Primor Produce and Southern Produce), is our exclusive exporting partner. AVOCO markets fruit into a number of valuable Pacific rim markets including Australia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the USA. AVOCO has a passion for new market development and a strong focus on OGR.
AVOCADO INDUSTRY COUNCIL
Avocado growers export fruit under the Horticultural Export Act legislation. The government recognized product group managing this legislation on behalf of growers and the government is the Avocado Industry Council Ltd (AIC). The AIC establishes and manages the compliance requirements related to the export of avocado fruit from New Zealand. The AIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the New Zealand Avocado Growers Association.
MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Trevelyan’s Management Services Ltd (TMSL) is the orchard management division of Trevelyan’s Pack & Cool Ltd. We can provide growers with a comprehensive range of on-orchard services plus expert advice to help maximize productivity and minimise the stress involved in orchard management. This includes all on-orchard operations, budgeting, administration and assistance for compliance requirements. There are many options from partial to full orchard management.
David Wills is one of our preferred harvest contractors and an avocado grower himself.
Duncan Moore is one of our preferred harvest contractors, he is an experienced picker and contractor.
